Gray Lab - Cancer Chemical Biology

Nathanael Gray Lab - Cancer Chemical Biology

Behnam Nabet, PhD

Behnam received his Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Northwestern University in 2015, under the supervision of Prof. Jonathan Licht. During his Ph.D., he demonstrated that oncogenic signaling contributes to malignant transformation through dynamic reprogramming of the cellular enhancer landscape. Behnam joined the Gray lab in 2015 and is currently supported by an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellowship. His main interests are in developing chemical strategies to target oncogenes for degradation. Behnam is also developing a generalizable technology platform known as the dTAG system to rapidly degrade any target protein of interest, which facilitates biological exploration and drug target validation.
