Nathanael Gray Lab - Cancer Chemical Biology

​​​Mingxing Teng, PhD
​

Mingxing received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Professor Dawei Ma at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015 after receiving his BS degree from Zhejiang University. During his Ph.D., he focused on the total syntheses of the monoterpenoid indole alkaloids (±)-Aspidophylline A and (±)-Strictamine. After finishing his Ph.D., Mingxing joined WuXi AppTec as a medicinal chemistry project leader in domestic discovery service unit. He has a long interest in drug discovery and clinical translational research. In 2017, he joined Baylor College of Medicine as a staff scientist at the Center for Drug Discovery, where he focused on the generation of isoform-selective BET inhibitors. Mingxing joined the Gray lab in 2018 and is currently interested in the development of novel small molecule kinase inhibitors and novel molecular glue.
